The Puget
Continuum
DRIFT · MONSOON · PULSAR · AURORA · NEBULA · VOID
Analog modulation and time effects. Circuit-modeled from the component up.
Six iconic effect circuits rebuilt at the component level using Wave Digital Filters. Not sampled. Not captured. Simulated—down to the bucket-brigade device.
The Lineup
Six iconic analog effects, one engine.
1979 BBD Chorus — MN3207
Lush, warm chorus with analog bucket-brigade character. The sound of the ’80s.
Modeled After: Boss CE-2
Proprietary BBD1978 BBD Delay — MN3005
Dark, tape-like analog delay. 4096-stage bucket-brigade with progressive HF rolloff on each repeat.
Modeled After: MXR Carbon Copy
Proprietary BBD1968 Photocell Vibrato/Chorus — Lamp + LDR
The original optical vibe. Four staggered phase stages driven by a pulsing lamp create the unmistakable throb.
Modeled After: Univox Uni-Vibe
1974 4-Stage OTA Phaser — JFET All-Pass
Smooth, liquid phase sweep. Four cascaded all-pass stages with triangle LFO modulation.
Modeled After: MXR Phase 90
1976 BBD Flanger — SAD1024
Metallic, jet-engine flanging from a through-zero analog bucket-brigade. Filter matrix mode for manual sweep.
Modeled After: Electro-Harmonix Electric Mistress
Proprietary BBD2002 Digital Multi-Tap Reverb — Belton BTDR-2H
The pedal that put spring reverb on every board. Eight prime-spaced delay taps with progressive filtering. Three modes: Spring, Hall, Flerb.
Modeled After: Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail
How It Works
Every component in the signal path is modeled as a Wave Digital Filter element. When you turn the Rate knob on DRIFT, you’re changing a capacitor value in a simulated RC network. When MONSOON’s repeats darken, it’s because the per-stage high-frequency rolloff of a 4096-stage BBD is being computed in real time.
This is circuit-accurate, not sampled. The nonlinear behavior, the clock feedthrough artifacts, the companding distortion of real bucket-brigade devices—it’s all there because the physics requires it.
Proprietary BBD Modeling
Three pedals in the Continuum—DRIFT, MONSOON, and NEBULA—use our proprietary bucket-brigade device modeling solution. It captures clock feedthrough, companding artifacts, and per-stage frequency rolloff that no other plugin replicates.
